I had the dream job. It ran on no sleep.
I moved to Nashville, worked my way from catering to Blake Shelton's tour manager, and spent 13 years keeping everybody else on schedule. I was mom to the whole crew, working two full-time jobs, and going 100 miles an hour until somebody told me to go to sleep.
I thought tired was my personality. It wasn't. It was a performance problem, and it was costing me more than I knew.
Now I've tracked 1,339 nights, and 650 of them scored 85% or higher. That puts me in the top 4% of people wearing a WHOOP. I don't get a perfect eight hours, and I won't pretend I do. I wrote this book for the person I was back then.
